World Mental health Day

Good morning, yesterday was the 10th of October, world mental health day. I thought I’d link you up to some blog posts I’ve written on this topic.

The first is a post outlining boundaries and why they’re so important. Have you ever felt like people walk all over you? Or maybe you feel lost and that you spend your time looking after everyone else? Then this would be a good read for you.

The second is a post about domestic violence. I reflect on what happened to me and my story. I read somewhere once that ‘when women share their stories wonderful things begin to happen.’ I thought that was kind of beautiful and I think it’s true, it took a lot of courage to write this and now I have shared it I feel empowered.

Next I’ve written a post on my issues with low self esteem and anxiety. I talk about how I over came them and how I learnt to see myself in a positive way.

A confident journey into the abyss

Finally, I’ve written a post on my parents, who all suffered from mental illness. My father has schizophrenia. I talk about my childhood and what it was like have a parent with mental illness.
