Who are Freya Treasures?

Taking inspiration from the Goddess Freya, Freya Treasures‘ collection is inspired by architecture, culture and classical history.

So who was Freya?

In Norse mythology, Freyja was the goddess associated with love, beauty, fertility, sex, war and gold. Freyja is the owner of the necklace Brísingamen, rides a chariot pulled by two cats and possesses a cloak of falcon feathers…

She is known to cast spells with her jewellery…

Freya Treasures have certainly cast a spell on my with this gorgeous selection.

The pieces themselves are designed with layering in mind.

You can wear them individually but they have variety of chain lengths so you can layer them up too. Perfect!

Oh, and they offer world wide shipping, luxury pieces at affordable prices because let’s face it you deserve a bit of luxury…

First Impressions

I am so excited to be writing this post. I have been waiting for a month for my new jewellery to arrive. It’s a month since I agreed to become an ambassador for Freya Treasures, one long whole month…

So my jewellery arrives and I am just mesmerised by it. This brand is a perfect match for me. Let me tell you that my first impression was love at first sight.

If you follow me on Instagram you might have already had a little sneaky peak. If you don’t have me on Instagram, what are you waiting for?

You may have been following my blog, if so you’ll know that I love mythology and symbolism. I’m a bit of a poet and I look for the deeper meanings in life…

My jewellery is a reflection of this. What I wear defines me as a person and so when I choose pieces, it was to reflect myself and those deeper meanings.

I hope you like them too. I chose these four gorgeous pieces…

The DIYA Ring

The snake represents many things in different cultures. Again, if you have me on Instagram you might have guessed that I’m kind of fascinated by snakes..

They symbolise regeneration and transformation. This is something that I definitely do a lot of.

As an Aquarius I am in a constant cycle of transformation. It is an important part of my character. I love to change my look and try new styles…

In some cultures the snake Goddess for example is associated with fertility and motherhood.

I just LOVE how one word can have so many meanings…

I just love it, can you tell?

I’m wearing the DIYA Ring, you can purchase it here.

The CHINY Necklace

This was the first piece I picked out, I just fell in love with it. It reminds me of the Aztec’s. Did I mention that all these pieces are gold plated?

Okay, so the Aztec’s didn’t have a great reputation but did you know they were lovers of Art and Sports? They loved poetry and sculpture. Of course, they also invented Chocolate!

And they introduced compulsory schooling, where children would learn about astronomy, philosophy and history.

I’ve never been to Mexico but it’s always been somewhere I wanted to visit. It’s on the bucket list (not just for the food).

In the meantime I have this gorgeous necklace so I can feel like a fierce Aztec warrior when I’m wearing it day dreaming about visiting Mexico.

The PAPILLION’S Necklace

I wore this one on a little walk along the coast we went on yesterday, to say it was cold would be an understatement but my necklace kept catching the light. It’s just so pretty.

Butterflies for me symbolise transformation. When I was younger, I struggled with low self esteem, if you’d like to read about that you can here.

Anyway, it took me some time to learn how to heal myself, how to love myself and fight my way through the struggles of self acceptance and end up here, confident and loving life.

Do you struggle with confidence too? Don’t forget to subscribe to my blog and gain access to my EBOOK: Learn how to heal yourself.

Butterflies are deep and powerful representations of life.

Butterflies are not only beautiful, but also have mystery, they are delicate creatures and are a metaphor representing spiritual rebirth, transformation, change, hope and life. It’s just gorgeous isn’t it?

The butterfly is an important symbol to me so this necklace was a must. It looks wonderful with a V Neck or a low cut top.

You can buy the PAPILLIONS Necklace here.

The FLEURY Necklace

Finally I picked this gorgeous piece. The world fleury comes from Latin meaning flower.

From new life to death, from purity to passion, flowers have had many meanings in myths and legends. Swelling from tender bud to full bloom, flowers are associated with youth, beauty, pleasure and fragility.

I thought this piece was stunning. Do you agree? Let me know what your favourite piece is in the comments below.
