Wow guys, so I don’t know what it’s like where you are but it’s really snowing here. I live by the sea so it rarely snows, (I think it’s because of the salty sea air and the wind) but at the minute it’s deeper than I’ve ever seen it…
Of course my toddler is over the moon, luckily she got a dinosaur onesie for Christmas, so she’s been wearing it in the snow.

So, something else I’ve been doing since this snowfall hit is organising everything in the house! I’ve finally got a desk for my blog, so I guess it’s a little office.
I’ve got my essentials on my desk like perfume, emergency makeup and a pretty box to keep my invoices in, I’ve also got my lovely skin oil from NUXE, I like to keep that near by.
I found an Amsterdam postcard, so I stuck that on the wall of course to remind me of home. I am really missing Holland at the moment and want to go there as soon as I can, but I’m guessing that wont be until Summer at least…
I’ve started keeping Amethyst near me, so I have bits of Amethyst dotted around the house now.
I keep some near my bed to help me sleep and there’s even some in the garden. Still, I like the Quartz and Amethyst near my desk. If I’m ever lacking in creative inspiration or have a headache, I like to place it on my forehead. It has a really cooling effect.
I’ve always collected healing crystals, it’s something I’ve done since I was little. I’m not sure why, it’s not like anyone else I knew saved up to buy rocks as a child ha! But I’ve just always felt soothed by them. I believe the earth is more healing than we believe it to be.
I am environmentally conscientious, one thing I am on a quest to do this year is to find new makeup which both has little impact on the environment and that is vegan. If you have any suggestions please comment below. Thank you so much.
Getting Organised…
One thing that’s happened from finally having space to complete my work and feeling organised, which is something I didn’t expect, it’s been like a bolt out of the blue. I was lying wide awake at 3 am in the morning, which I so often do now, and I thought to myself, what can I do?
I was just staring at the ceiling and I thought to myself there must be something I can do, I’m just wasting my time here on this planet so I downloaded an app on my phone and started making music. Who knew I could make music?
I’ve got a post called how I manage my creativity, if you’re interested. I talk about how I just let my creativity out, because you can’t bottle it up.
There have been some beautiful things that have come from this pandemic. Which is an odd sentence I know, but for me it’s true.
One of them is that the creatives have finally been given the space and time to unleash themselves, in a society that is driven by go, go, go.
I am feeling blessed to be able to spend time with my family and nurture my creativity. I am free from conventionality and embracing myself, creativity and all…
Have a lovely day my fellow creatives, keep sharing your gifts.
Much love,
Soph.
