Sometimes you just need some new clothes to put a smile back on your face. You know how much I love my vintage style clothing, so I decided to treat myself…
I got some makeup from Revolution. I got a lipstick from the Soph x range, in the shade Cake. It goes on like a dream, it’s really moisturising and I love the shade. It’s like a red/ pink mauve. It’s a bit subtler than my usual shades.
I like to go for candy floss pink, coral or bright red usually so it’s more of day time shade this one, one I could wear all day. As the first lipstick I’ve tried from Revolution, I’m really happy with it.
In fact the more makeup I try from Revolution the more I love it. It cost me £4 from ASOS. You can’t really go wrong for that price, can you?
Then I got the Beam Dream primer. I’ve been wanting to try this for so long. I love the packaging, it reminds me of the Great Gatsby or something like that, an Art Deco style that is super Instagram-able.
The primer itself is like a holographic cream. It’s got a pearlescent sheen to it, it goes on the skin with a pink tint which I love and I did not expect.
It’s really illuminating, which is flattering. I’m in my 30’s now so I’m finding anything with a dewy finish, or illumination really helps me to look younger and helps hides the wrinkles. It’s also a body primer, which is awesome. I can’t wait to wear it on a night out, it’ll help me catch the light.

I bought two Berets, one is red, one is black with a daisy. I thought it looked so cute. I love hats you guys, I can see me wearing the black one so much. The red one is a little small, it was an ASOS own design. I’m lucky that I have quite a small head but I thought I’d mention it because I find it difficult to get on and I don’t usually have an issue with hats. It’s tight! Something to think about if you’re contemplating on getting a Beret…
I’ve always had a fascination with Berets, I love Paris! I’ve never really been one for trends, I just tend to wear what I like. I like to draw inspiration from vintage, but I don’t really have a fixed style, I just wear what I want. I suppose that is what makes me unique…
I also got this gorgeous silk jumpsuit from In Wear, It’s a 70’s style one with a collar, which I find is really flattering for my shape. I love the long sweeping wide legs. They really flattering if you’re a petit 5ft 2, like me.
The colour said brown on the website but I think it’s more of a metallic orange. I wasn’t what I was expecting but I still kind of love it anyway. It’s eye catching and I don’t mind standing out so it’s cool. Orange is the new black after all…

I got this gorgeous red lacy body from ASOS own design. I love my lingerie, it’s always a treat to get new stuff. It’s really flattering on my curves and it came in a 12 FF so you get the right cup size for your body shape. That is something I love about ASOS.

Orange symbolises many things, joy, warmth, heat, sunshine, enthusiasm, creativity, success, encouragement, change, determination, health, stimulation, happiness, fun, enjoyment, balance, sexuality, freedom, expression, and fascination to name a few. No wonder I was drawn to such a bright piece.
The jumpsuit is 70’s disco inspired but it has a touch of elegance and is made from silk. I like tying the collar round the neck and adding a bow at the front. I wore my Gucci Guilty perfume with this outfit. It’s such a beautiful scent. My go-to for nights out, and it lasts all night too so, bonus.
Top notes are Pink Pepper, Mandarin Orange and Bergamot; middle notes are Lilac, Peach, Geranium, Jasmine and Black Currant; base notes are Patchouli, Amber, White Musk and Vanilla.

Finally, I’ve been getting creative on Instagram with my reels. For more add me on Instagram @sophieannmckeever
I’m loving the new feature on Instagram reels. You can now save peoples reels and add them to your own. Awesome. I’m all about sharing content, plus making reels are so much fun. Out of all social media platforms and things you can do on them, reels are my favourite. How about you, what do you enjoy the most?
Finally, I’m signing off for the Easter weekend today, I’ll be back on Tuesday with some new content. I am looking forward to spending some time with my family and taking some time to chill out. I’ve been blogging for six months now, eek! I think I’ve earned a little break.
I’ll be back after Easter with a new found love of sticking to my Schedule. Hope you all have a lovely Easter.
Much love,
Soph.
