I was so excited to buy this. Revolution is one of my favourite brands, and they just seem to be getting better. With their ever growing category of products, I had to write about this Bond Plex for extremely damaged hair.

As someone who bleaches her hair, yes I know, I’m crazy. What can I say? I just love my hair this way, however the damage it causes is inescapable, it would be fair to say that my hair is prone to breakage (that’s putting it politely). My hair was fine to begin with, so those years of bleaching have take it’s toll. I’m a hairdressers worst nightmare!

But, even though I use an ample amount of conditioners, leave in conditioners, heat protection spray and deep moisture repair masks, it would be fair to say that it’s still somewhat problematic (not to mention time consuming).

Opalex bond intense moisture mask, priced at £28 is of course the Don when it comes to hair care. It’s honestly amazing (maybe magic) and it’s obviously been around for a while now, but it’s way, way out of my price range! So I only really use it when I go to the hair dressers. That’s why I am so excited that Revolution are doing their own version! Hooray. I love you Revolution!

Bond Plex 3 cost me £10 for 100ml from Superdrug, and I got 3 deep repair treatments out of one bottle. It’s a little like moisturiser in term of texture but slightly sticky. It kind of smells like PVA glue, so not great there, but I didn’t mind that too much. It’s sort of an inbetweeny product, you use it after you shampoo and before you condition, so I knew t wouldn’t be the final scent on my head.

I find it kind of nostalgic to be honest, but if you’re sensitive to smell you really might not like it.

I rubbed it into my hair tips, then the rest of my hair, before brushing my hair to make sure everything was evenly covered. I then covered my hair with a treatment hat.

It says to leave it on for 15 mins or overnight for a longer treatment. I left it on for three hours and noticed a huge improvement. Instantly. It’s a pre shampoo treatment so you shampoo and condition afterwards.

When I dried it, my hair felt bouncy, stronger and had its shine back. It really strengthens hair strands. My ends were split a little but not nearly as bad as before and more importantly no hair loss when washing it out or brushing.

After my third treatment I noticed more improvement. No breakage when brushing and less hair loss throughout the day. I can also safely remove bobbles and hair grips from my hair without the dreaded snapping.

This product is intended for colour treated or bleached hair that is damaged and I couldn’t recommend it more. Budget wise it’s fantastic and it does what it says! It’s vegan friendly and there’s a whole range of Plex treatments, such as the bond plex Shampoo, Conditioner and Styling Cream.

Or you can visit the Revolution website and save 30% on a Bond Plex set. I can’t wait to try more of this range. It’s my new staple item in my hair care routine. A total Revolution in hair care.

Thanks for reading,

Goodbye damaged hair!

Soph.
